STAMFORD

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman took part in a trial run to kick off Stamford's holiday season by rappelling down Connecticut's tallest building.
 
On Sunday, Cashman will join Santa and friends in making their descent down the 22 story Landmark Building.
 
After the rappel, Santa will make his way up Bedford Street to Latham Park for the holiday tree lighting.
 
The event will kick off Sunday at 5 p.m.
