BRIDGEPORT - A tornado tore through Bridgeport three years ago today, causing millions of dollars in damages and displacing 50 residents.

Some businesses say they're still struggling to recover from a financial hole left in the tornado's wake. Metric Bar and Grill owner Pierre Desruisseaux says he had to borrow $50,000 from family to make repairs and cover lost business. He blames the tornado for his daily struggle to stay afloat.

Bridgeport officials say the city, its residents and businesses suffered $3.5 million in uninsured damage, which wasn't enough to qualify for FEMA funds.

The Barnum Museum says repair and renovation will cost roughly $20 million, and that it's still struggling to raise those funds.
