BRIDGEPORT - Friends and sympathetic Bridgeport residents have begun raising money to send the body of a teen killed in a pizzeria robbery back to his native country.

Oscar Martin-Refugio, a 19-year-old from Mexico, was working at Grand Pizza on Main Street Friday when a pair of gunmen opened fire during a strong-arm robbery, according to officials.

People who knew Martin-Refugio say he was working to send money back home to support his mother and siblings.

Businesses throughout the city have set up donation jars to pay to send his body home to Mexico.

Bridgeport police say they have solid leads but have not yet made any arrests in connection with the crime.
