MILFORD - Two day care workers accused of leaving a child behind on a field trip were in court Tuesday.Lorene Crowell and Annie Foust briefly faced a judge and said they will represent themselves in the case. Milford police say Crowell runs the Step by Step day care out of her home in Bridgeport. Police say the two women took six children in their care to a Devon McDonald's last month.Authorities say the women accidentally left a 2-year-old boy at the restaurant when they returned to Bridgeport. Officials say employees saw the boy and called police.The women are scheduled back in court next month. The judge said the women must not operate a day care.
