BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says the city is researching and drafting a plan to better handle snow cleanup.

The response comes after a public meeting last night where residents vented frustration with the city's response to the recent snowstorm.

Before the meeting, Finch spoke one-on-one with residents, who complained that plows were slow to respond and left some roads unplowed for days.

"We heard people out," said Finch. "We're making a plan for the next storm so that we'll be better next time."

Finch says Bridgeport's new plan will research whether the city has enough equipment and if those responsible for the cleanup are capable of the job. The plan will also research what went wrong with the cleanup.
