BRIDGEPORT - Drivers all over southwestern Connecticut are on the lookout for potholes caused by back-to-back storms this winter.

Bridgeport residents are among those complaining of too many potholes. Many wrote in to the News 12 Connecticut Facebook page about Success Avenue, where they say one pothole was so deep you could see the gravel going down below all of the layers of blacktop.

Residents say other problematic spots include the intersection at Fairfield Avenue and Commerce Street. Maintenance crews say it's been a constant battle between plowing and patching. The mayor's office in Bridgeport says it has already gone through five tons of cold patch and more is on the way.
