Bridgeport family says they were robbed at gunpoint

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport family says they are moving out of the city after being robbed at gunpoint in their home last night.

According to the Santos family, they were playing cards inside their house at 358 Charles St. around 7:30 p.m. when three masked gunmen broke down the back door and told them to get on the floor.

Suely Santos says she and her children, 5-year-old Jessica and 15-year-old Genesis, were on the first floor, while her husband and about 10 friends were in the basement.

The family says the men made away with more than $3,000 in cash, leaving them terrified by the experience.

Police say they are still investigating.
