BRIDGEPORT - FEMA has denied Bridgeport's request for more money to pay for cleanup after February's blizzard.

The governor's office had hoped the feds would cover expenses for the city for 72 hours after the storm.

Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch is questioning the way the money was distributed throughout Fairfield County.

He plans to work with the state to have FEMA reconsider the way it determines assistance.
