Bridgeport fire kills mother, 3 kids

BRIDGEPORT - Fire investigators are looking into what caused the fire that killed a young mother and her three children early Friday morning.

Tiana Black, 23, 5-year-old son Nyshawn and 4-year-old twin daughters Nyasia and Tyasia were in their apartment in the P.T. Barnum Housing Complex when the fire started at around 1 a.m.

Firefighters say there was a tremendous amount of smoke while they tried to battle the flames. There is still no word on the cause of the fire, but fire officials say it started in the kitchen.
