ANSONIA - A Bridgeport man says he is upset with a local school bus company after his 5-year-old daughter was dropped off at the wrong bus stop and stranded during her first week of kindergarten.

The girl's father, Josh Moran, says her mother waited for the bus to arrive at the corner of Beaver Street and Myrtle Avenue yesterday afternoon. When the girl, Brianna, never showed, the mother panicked and called the school.

The father says Brianna had been dropped off a half-mile away from her home where a resident found her crying in the street. The person called the police and the girl was returned home safely.

The superintendent of Ansonia public schools says she has asked for the bus driver to be taken off the route.
