BRIDGEPORT - Authorities say Bridgeport Hospital is operating normally after someone called in a bomb threat earlier today.

 
Police say hospital officials told them a patient, who had recently been released, called them and insisted there was a bomb inside. Officers checked the entire facility, but found nothing suspicious.
 
Police say they believe the caller was only making an idle threat.
