BRIDGEPORT - A spokesman for Bridgeport Hospital says things are "stable" after the snowstorm and says the hospital has seen no spike in emergency room visits.

"The staff is doing a truly remarkable job," says John Cappiello, of Bridgeport Hospital, adding that some staff members have been working for three days straight. Cappiello says patients are not being discharged and only some elective procedures have been put off until things clear up.

Emergency room nurses say no major trauma cases have come in. Anyone with questions about procedures can contact the hospital at 203-284-3000.
