Bridgeport landlord James Cunningham sentenced to 60 years for 2012 murder of Daniel Speller

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport landlord has been sentenced for killing his tenant in a dispute over money.

James Cunningham was sentenced to 60 years in prison for shooting and killing Daniel Speller in 2012.

Speller's body was found in a cooler on the back of Cunningham's SUV.

Cunningham told the court he shot and killed Speller in self-defense.
