BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man was arraigned in court today and charged with risk of injury to a child after police say he left his 3-year-old son in his car overnight.

Officers say Jeffrey Mejias, 22, was arrested earlier this month after neighbors say they noticed a young boy crying in the back of a car on Arctic Street.

Police say Mejias was driving home intoxicated when he got a flat tire, walked home and fell asleep leaving his son in the car.
