STAMFORD - A Bridgeport man faced a judge today on charges that he and at least one other man broke into a Stamford home and tied up a 15-year-old boy.

Police say Robert Marhoffer, of Bridgeport, and at least one other man broke into a townhouse at 164 Ursula Pl. in Stamford on Sunday, tied up the 15-year-old that was home with a dog leash and forced a shirt over his head.

Police say the men then stole close to $4,000 worth of electronics.

The arrest warrant says police believe a cousin of the teen's mother's boyfriend may have masterminded the robbery as retaliation against the family for not giving him a ride home one day when he ran out of money.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 203-977-4413.
