BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police arrested a man early Sunday morning after he barricaded himself into an apartment and refused to leave, authorities say.

Police say the man, whose name they haven't released, broke into the apartment on Atlantic Street and forced an evacuation of about 50 neighbors at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

A pair of SWAT team members broke down the door to the apartment with riot shields in hand and arrested the suspect, who told authorities he was unarmed.
