Bridgeport man gets life for '07 Christmas murder

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man convicted of a 2007 Christmas Day murder was handed a life sentence Friday.

Donald Wilson, 26, had been found guilty for the murder of Larry Paulk. Police say Paulk, 51, was shot and killed after confronting Wilson and another man about selling drugs in his mother's building.

Paulk was visiting his mother for the holidays at the time of his death.

In court, Wilson maintained his innocence and asked the court to show mercy. His attorney says the sentence is too harsh and is planning an appeal.
