BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man is calling on a local cemetery to replace his father's headstone after he says workers drove over it with a back loader.

Jesus Jorge says he made the discovery Friday morning when he went to visit his father's grave at Park Cemetery in Bridgeport.

Jorge says ceramic angels surrounding the grave were crushed to bits and the marble headstone was damaged. Jorge believes a back loader used by the cemetery to maintain the lot is responsible, because he says there were tire tracks left around the headstone. He says several other headstones were also damaged.

Jorge says he has tried to call the cemetery's office, but nobody has returned his call. News 12 Connecticut also visited the cemetery's offices, but they were closed Friday.
