BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch today visited a special boy at Waltersville School.

Michael Rodriguez, 6, has cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome, or CFC, a rare genetic disorder that only 300 people in the world have.

His mother is trying to raise money so they can attend a conference in Florida with a doctor that specializes in his condition.

His mother says even though her son struggles physically, he still maintains a positive spirit.

Mayor Finch says he hopes the city can come together and support Rodriguez at a fundraiser this Saturday.

It will take place at Moe's Burger on Main Street from 4p.m. to 8 p.m.
