Bridgeport mayor reminds residents of storm-related parking laws

BRIDGEPORT - In anticipation of the upcoming snowstorm, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch warned the public today about the city's storm-related parking laws, which are expected to go into effect tomorrow evening.

Finch says residents will face nearly $200 in fines if they park on any of the 50 city streets designated for emergency travel.  He says vehicles will also be towed.

The mayor says the storm-related parking laws are not about making money, but about keeping the public safe.
