BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport mom is praising two police officers Wednesday for helping to save her baby's life.

Damaris Santiago says her 8-month-old son Jayden had a seizure while she was driving. He was not breathing, so she pulled over and flagged down two police officers.

Officers Gerardo Ortiz and Migdalia Ayala immediately called for EMS. The officers then managed to clear her son's airway and get him breathing.

"I just want to say thank you, thank you so much for helping my son in this moment that was so stressful for me and my other children," says Santiago.

The mayor along with the police chief and the entire City of Bridgeport thanked the officers and EMS workers for their effort in saving the young boy's life.
