NORWALK - The Bridgeport man accused of fatally shooting a Monroe man on Friday appeared in court today.
Randy Dixon, 24, is accused of fatally shooting 25-year old Lawerence Acevedo.
Acevedo's family claims the two men got into an argument on Capital Avenue in Bridgeport when Acevedo went to confront Dixon over blasting his car stereo. They say the two fought outside before Dixon came back with a gun and started firing shots.
Police say they found Dixon in a room at the Garden Park Motel in Norwalk, accompanied by a woman and carrying more than $900,000, possibly getting ready to run. Officers say he surrendered as soon as he saw them.
Dixon is being held on $1 million bond.
