BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport officials on Tuesday welcomed a new business and nearly two dozen jobs to the city.

A+ Technology & Security Solutions held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Fairfield Avenue location. It marks the company's first location outside its main headquarters on Long Island.

The Bridgeport office will serve as its New England headquarters, handling business in Connecticut, Massachusetts and upstate New York.

The business says it provides security services to schools, businesses and governments. It recently worked with the New Canaan School District to install new technology to make schools safe.

A+ also helped build the command center in Bridgeport. It hopes to create 20 jobs at its Bridgeport office.
