Bridgeport parents confused by early closure of Head Start Program
BRIDGEPORT - Parents in Bridgeport are demanding answers this evening as a local education program prepares to close two weeks earlier than expected.
The Head Start Program at Bassick High School is closing its doors, citing ongoing safety concerns. The school sent out a letter in the wake of several bomb scares, but organizers have refused to provide more specifics.
Some parents say they would like an extra week to continue planning a small graduation ceremony for their children.
