BRIDGEPORT - Parents and students rallied outside Cesar Batalla Elementary School in Bridgeport this afternoon demanding a guarantee from Mayor Bill Finch that a police gun range will not be built across the street.
A spokesperson for the mayor says that a letter, claiming that plans for the range are not moving forward, is a clear sign that nothing will be built near the school.
Mayor Bill Finch has admitted that city authorities should have gotten feedback from parents before proposing plans.
