BRIDGEPORT -
The Bridgeport Police Department has a new chief animal control officer this afternoon. 

Jennifer Wallace says she is excited for her new role and is looking forward to introducing new programs to the shelter. 

Wallace says she plans to create new outdoor play areas for the dogs up for adoption, as well as offer volunteering opportunities for city workers. 

Wallace says the shelter works to post their most recent updates on Facebook.
