Bridgeport police arrest Gregg Cavalier for allegedly swapping guns for drugs
BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police have arrested a Trumbull man for allegedly trading guns for drugs.
Authorities say they apprehended Gregg Cavalier after finding drugs and a .38-caliber pistol, registered in his name, at another person's apartment on Parrott Avenue. They say that individual, Elijah Lewis, led them to Cavalier.
The suspect allegedly admitted to trading two guns, along with extra magazines, ammunition and a holster to his crack-cocaine dealer.

Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says this is the second time Cavalier was caught trafficking weapons.
Investigators say the guns will be test-fired to determine whether they were used in any other crimes.
