BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police say two of their officers helped save a man who collapsed while shoveling snow for a neighbor.

They say officers Damien Csech and Matthew Goncalves were in the area of Cottage Street on Thursday when a woman flagged them down. 

Police say they saw the 53-year-old man on the ground and started performing CPR.

The man is being treated at Saint Vincent's Medical Center.
