BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are investigating a string of robberies reported on the east side of the city.

Investigators say they are not sure if the four robberies are connected, but each occurred over the past week.

The first robbery took place at the intersection of Wood and Benham avenues, where a man on a bike stole a woman's phone. The second victim says a man threw him to the ground and took his money.

Authorities say the last two robberies happened Saturday evening. The victims were assaulted by three men in both cases.

Police say none of the victims were seriously injured.
