BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing adjunct Housatonic Community College professor who was last seen at the end of December.

The college’s president says Jarvis Smith was scheduled to teach two nutrition classes when the semester began on Jan. 24. When Smith didn’t show up for class, his family was contacted. His family then alerted the authorities.

Investigators say the last time anyone saw Smith was on Dec. 28. He was dressed in business attire.

Housatonic's president says Smith has been a biology instructor there since 2011.

Authorities say there is no evidence of foul play. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Jarvis Smith is urged to call the Bridgeport Police Department.
