BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the deadly March shooting of a store clerk in the city's North End.

The shooting occurred on March 25 at the T Market, located at 1482 Reservoir Ave. Police say the suspect shot 32-year-old store clerk Hakeem Joseph several times in the torso.

There was nothing that suggested the shooting was part of a robbery, investigators say. Nothing was taken from the store.

Police say the suspect was captured on surveillance video and was wearing a mask at the time. They describe him as having a medium build and of medium height.

Investigators say they that by re-releasing the surveillance video, someone who may not have seen it the first time could provide valuable insight into the case.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Bridgeport Police Department.
