Bridgeport police track Alpine Street arson suspect

Bridgeport Police are searching for a woman they believe tried to burn down a house earlier this month. Police have released pictures of a suspect.

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are searching for a woman who they believe tried to burn down a house earlier this month.

Police have released pictures of a suspect. They say the woman in the surveillance video tried to burn down a house on Alpine Street on Oct. 9.

Authorities have a series of images taken from surveillance cameras in different places showing her buy gas, take it in a container to the address, and then trying to light the occupied home on fire.

Authorities say firefighters were able to put out the blaze before anybody was hurt.
