BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are warning residents about car break-ins.

Police passed out reminder cards at Success Village Thursday.

They say this is a popular time of year when thieves break into cars to steal holiday gifts and other items.

Police say you should put valuables away so burglars can't see them.

They say they plan to hand out more cards throughout the city, including store parking lots.
