BRIDGEPORT - Hurricane Irene pounded the East Coast, flooding several sections of Bridgeport.

Officials say hundreds of people were forced from their homes near the coastline and many are still holding up in Bridgeport shelters.

The Mayor Bill Finch?s Office says Seaside Park is closed to the public and that there is no school tomorrow. It says that roughly 14 percent of the city is still without power.
