Bridgeport restaurant picks up pieces after tornado

BRIDGEPORT - The owner of Bridgeport?s Metric Bar and Grill says it may be a while before he will be back in business after yesterday?s tornado.

Some tables at the restaurant were overturned, glasses have been left crushed on the floor and paintings were torn down and crumbled. Other tables, however, and their place settings were left untouched.

Owner Pierre Desruisseaux says the vicious winds whipped through the doors and pushed everything to the back of the restaurant. The tornado also ripped off part of the roof, Desruisseaux says.

Desruisseaux and residents recovered what they could from the building.
