BRIDGEPORT - A local Little League geared up for its 2014 season after vandalism put a damper on last year's proceedings.

Volunteers spent much of the day Friday getting ready for Bridgeport's North End Little League's 60th Opening Day.

Officials say the fields on Thorme Street were vandalized toward the beginning of April last year, with graffiti spray-painted onto the dugouts.
