BRIDGEPORT - The City of Bridgeport is planning on contesting one of the five fire violations the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) found after investigating a blaze that killed two firefighters.
Officials say they have already notified the state that they disagree with the violation that claims the department didn't ensure the firemen wore their self-contained breathing masks. Officials also say there is no evidence the men took off their masks.
Lt. Steven Velesquez and firefighter Mitch Baik died in a fire on July 24.
