GREENWICH - Nearly a dozen Greenwich residents are still not allowed back in their apartments this evening after police say a car slammed into their building.

The town deemed the building dangerous and unsafe after the accident at Barks and Bubble Dog Grooming at 60 Pemberwick Road.

A structural engineer told the landlord that he must reinforce and support the inside before the engineer can rule this building safe for 11 residents and Barks and Bubble.

Greenwich police issued two traffic citations to the driver of the black Camaro that hit the building. Alexander Licari was ticketed for driving unreasonably fast and for failure to drive in a proper lane.

The Red Cross is helping the three displaced families with hotels and money for food.
