BRIDGEPORT - Students at a local vocational school in Bridgeport were sent home early on Friday after a threat.

State police say a student at Bullard Havens made a verbal threat. The school was on lockdown for more than an hour before administrators decided to dismiss the students early, shortly after 1 p.m.

Parents say they got an automated call alerting them of the threat.

News 12 reached out to the vocational school superintendent for comment, but has not heard back.
