SHELTON - It's been almost three months since flames destroyed a downtown Shelton building, but business owners say they're still trying to pick up the pieces.

The building that was destroyed was on Howe Avenue. The blaze displaced about 30 residents and six businesses.

Business owner Michele Bialek says only she was only recently able to go inside her business Liquid Lunch to get her belongings.

Bialek says she does plan to rebuild and reopen in the same location, but can't even say when that will happen.

Officials say the fire started in the basement, but the cause is undeterminable.
