STAMFORD - Taxi drivers in Stamford are on edge after a fellow driver was found fatally stabbed early Wednesday.

Mahomed Kamal was found dead outside a house on Doolittle Drive. His brother tells News 12 Connecticut that Kamal was last heard from at around 3 a.m., when he called his wife to say he had one more fare to collect before going home. His wife called him afterward but he never picked up.

Drivers say the news is very sad and that it could have been any one of them. Many say they are worried about working the night shift, when Kamal was killed.

Kamal is from Bangladesh and is survived by his wife and son. Family members say his wife was so distraught that she had to be taken to the hospital.
