NORWALK - There was a major outage last night for cable service throughout southwestern Connecticut.

Cablevision customers saw their cable, phone and internet services disrupted for a few hours.

Fairfield police say some people were so upset, they called 911.

Police had to post a message on the department's Facebook page saying the outage was not a police emergency.

Cablevision is the parent company of News 12 Connecticut.
