Some are calling for a light to be installed after a woman was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing the street

WESTPORT - Some are calling for a light to be installed after a woman was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing the street Tuesday night.

Sharon Broecking, 62, became the second person to die while crossing the Post Road East between the Stop and Shop and the Old Pepper Mill.

Her friends say a light needs to be installed before someone else is killed.
