WOODBRIDGE - Campers in Woodbridge tried to keep cool this afternoon while spending the day playing outside in the sweltering heat.

The director of the Woodbridge Recreational Camp says his campers were prepared to be active outside.

Counselors kept their campers hydrated and took them to the pool twice today.

Meanwhile, cooling centers have been opened around southwestern Connecticut.

Forecasters say temperatures are expected to be over 90 degrees each day this week.
