STRATFORD - A Stratford family has been left picking up the pieces after a car explosion triggered a house fire last night.

Firefighters say a car that was parked in the driveway at 132 McKinley Ave. burst into flames, which then spread to the house, igniting its entire side and part of the roof. No one was injured.

Today, the homeowner and his family returned to the house to look at the damage and pick up their belongings.

Police say they are investigating the cause of the car explosion that caused the fire.
