Car vandalism suspect arrested

STRATFORD - Residents say they are relieved that they no longer have to worry about their cars since the man believed to have damaged more than 40 cars with paint thinner has been arrested.

Police arrested Michael Andrukevich, 49, after investigators followed him to Richard Circle where he allegedly sprayed four more cars Saturday night.

According to police, Andrukevich had fresh chemical splatter on his moped and the smell of the chemicals on his clothing.

Police say the suspect?s own mother had claimed he was mad at the world and that the police were out to get him.

Andrukevich was interviewed today and did not admit to the vandalism.
