Animal Control officers in Bridgeport say the city’s shelter has an overpopulation of cats.

Facility employees say the shelter can house about 40 cats at one time, but there is currently a lot more than that, including 25 adult cats. Chief Animal Control Officer Gina Gambino says every cat is up for adoption.
