STAMFORD - A burst sprinkler pipe at Springdale Elementary School in Stamford caused part of the ceiling to fall this morning.

It happened before students arrived for the day in a music room.

Ceiling panels, framing and lights all fell down from the weight of the water.

A piano, TV and some other electronics were all damaged.

Principal Shelly Woodson says it's too early to estimate the amount of damage, but that the school is insured and that students can use a second music classroom and the auditorium until this one is repaired.
