GREENWICH - Crews demolished the old Central Fire House on Havemeyer Place in Greenwich yesterday to make way for a new one.

The town voted in 2011 to tear down the 70-year-old building.

Firefighters who were stationed there are now in a temporary building in Cos Cob.

Officials say the new building should be finished in less than three years.
