BRIDGEPORT - Officials at The Bijou Theater in Bridgeport says the venue is closing its doors for good this weekend due to budget problems.

The theater has been in business for more than 100 years.

Bring It On the Musical will play this weekend as the theater's final show.

The show's actors held a rally and launched an online campaign to try to raise enough money to keep the theater open.

News 12 is told the building's owner is looking to make it into a movie theater, but no plans have been finalized.
